“Chicken soup for the soul” and body, a medicine

As I return from a quick trip downstate and we move into the second week of the new year, here is an update on the year of homemade bread:

Brian has perfected this recipe and it is hands down our favorite cookie. Yesterday, along with normal sized cookies, we made a giant version in a mini cast-iron and yum, it was just as good as it sounds. There is currently one cookie left and by the end of tonight, or this post, none will remain.

This isn’t meant to be a finished declaration (check back at the end of the year for that), and it has sections we are still discussing and I will continue to share those thoughts here as they develop as the year rolls on (haha)
